At Puredistance we spend a lot of time on the presentation of our Perfumes. Although we think the perfume itself is the most important part, we also believe that the right presentation intensifies the experience of the customer. And if we say presentation we not only think of the packaging, but also of the design of the flacon, the visuals that communicate the dna & style of the company and the personal (service) touch of the people that work at Puredistance. If a picture can paint a thousand words, so can a fragrance or a nice, personal gesture. So why not create a multisensory experience that also charms the other senses?

As long as the total experience is a true one - rooted in reality and honesty - we believe trying to please more than just the sense of smell is an added value for our customers. This is our preferred way to communicate the feeling of Puredistance best and give people an overall experience of the concept of 'puredistance' -  which for us is more of a philosophy than just a product name.

(At the same time I understand and respect the 'perfume purist' whose only focus is the perfume itself, as I understand the music lover who just wants to LISTEN to the music - eyes closed - whereas I myself enjoy music the most during a live performance where I can also SEE and FEEL the singer. Simply different preferences).

The Black Crystal Column that is absolutely NOT necessary in order to enjoy our perfumes, but if you are so lucky as to receive it from someone dear to you, it will add an extra little magic to the perfume spray.


Puredistance Perfume Sprays: I, Antonia and M

The enthusiastic and professional Puredistance Team is fundamental for the beautiful presentation of the Master Perfume Collection. While the Perfume itself is made by Master Perfumers in London and New York, the Puredistance Perfume Sprays are assembled by hand in our main office in the Netherlands from various high quality components.

Each Perfume Spray includes a hand polished, stainless steel ring with inscription that has to be manually fixed to the flacon. Then we put the cap on the flacon to see if it fits perfectly. After that the signing of the certificates of authenticity starts; each perfume giftbox includes a certificate that is signed by hand. At last every Perfume Spray is manually checked for imperfections... To finish one Puredistance Perfume giftbox is a time-consuming exercise, but we love what we do and take great pride in the end result.

In the end a company is as good as the people who work for it. Fortunately Puredistance is blessed with a very positive and enthusiastic team that enjoys trying to be the best.

Antonia Perfume inside the separately available Crystal & Gold Column

Last week we received a notice from Annette who manages the Roja Dove's Haute Parfumerie in Harrods: "Antonia is flying off the shelf… " Great news for Puredistance and great news for me personally, because Antonia is not only a beautiful perfume, but also a tribute to my mother who carried the same name.

This is the story: when I asked Annie Buzantian if she had another perfume for us that could match the quality  and originality of Puredistance I, she said: "Yes, a unique fragrance I made 10 years ago, with the name of Antonia". I decided this name - the same as my mother's - could not be a coincidence, so I asked Annie to send the fragrance to the Netherlands for trying out. When we received Antonia it indeed matched the soul and character of my mother. I send Annie some pictures of my mothers so she could refine her creation and after some months things were exactly right.


 
So you can imagine every time something positive is said of Antonia (and it did already receive a LOT of positive feedback) I feel extra happy and I am quite sure my mother is somewhere out there to enjoy the success of Antonia too. Now that I write this I think it would be nice to share a picture of her with you. I will do that right away and share the photos with you that I sent to Annie Buzantian to match the perfume with the spirit of my mother. (pictures above)
