Interview Fragrantica & Review by + Q Perfume Blog

'Function follows Passion'
Recently I did some interviews. I like doing them occasionally, since they make me think about the ideas behind Puredistance and what we do. And why we do it. This may sound strange, but I usually follow my instincts and quickly move into action and only afterwards analyze WHY I did so. 'Function follows Passion'. Below one interview and a comprehensive review of Puredistance.
Interview by Sandrina for Fragrantica. From this interview:
Mr. Vos "With a small number of truly beautiful fragrances, complemented by elegant visuals and accessories, we hope to get some customers interested in a long term relationship with our perfumes and with our brand. The longer you use a perfume, the more memories it will have for you and in the end it will be uniquely yours. But not if you use 50+ fragrances and change your perfume every month or every year. I believe in loyalty. And from our side we will be loyal to the customer by offering the same fragrances and the same quality and the same service for the upcoming decades."
Sandrina also shows the first images of our new 100ml flacon series that will be launched in two weeks time. Soon more about these new flacons with Pure Perfume Extrait.

The new 100ml Flacons: Pure Perfume in black glass. Each flacon comes with a handmade leather holder

Founder Jan Ewoud Vos with a new 100ml Flacon of Puredistance M

Each 100ml Flacon is packaged in a beautiful giftbox
And here a review of Puredistance by Simone Shitrit from + Q Perfume Blog
From this interview: Simone: "It is not a secret that when it comes to the notion of what is chic and hip, this blogger has exhaustedly repeated that "less is more". Although I love Art Nouveau and many other aesthetic styles, I tend to feel more connect to the minimalistic ones. The sharp clean lines of Puredistance flacons reveal what is the most important concept of the scents kept inside of them: understated elegance and beauty.
Once interviewing Della Chuang, a designer who has created one of the perfume bottles that I love the most (White Patchouli EDP by Tom Ford) said something that I will never forget: “Simplicity seems natural, almost obvious in its final form, but getting there takes experience, talent, and patience. Design for simplicity cannot be successful unless it is supported by perfect execution. Simplicity isn’t simple.”
I couldn't agree more to her, and that is exactly what I have found in Mr. Jan E. Vos' brand. It took him years to transform an idea into reality, and patience led him to perfection."

Movie Shoot 'M' in London

To illustrate the fact Puredistance M is not only popular with Men (and to show we don't take ourselves TOO seriously) we shot a little dark comedy in London. Click here to watch it.
