Tribute or Counterfeit?
Tribute or Counterfeit?
Two years ago we discovered a pimped 17.5 ml Puredistance Perfumespray. A very glamorous design, with Swarovski Crystals. it was sold in Moscow under our brandname without our approval, so illegally. We took action and stopped it.
Today we spotted a never seen before advertisement for this illegal 'glamour-version', photographed by Gevorg Markosyan, a photographer in Moscow. I decided to regard the picture below and the total act of creation as a tribute to Puredistance, instead of getting annoyed by the illegal act of production and sales of this 'pimped' puredistance spray. Its style is in many ways very different from what we shoot ourselves, but the pure simplicity does fit our concept of 'less is more'.

This morning I visited a company (Wilcovak) specialised in face-mounting and framing images. Various photographs of the famous Dutch photographer Erwin Olaf were hanging on the walls, but one picture intrigued me... Renee, a portrait. It left a deep visual imprint in my brain. Today was a good visual day. Less definitely is more.
