2023 for us has been the year in which we introduced our new perfume PAPILIO. And despite the fact we launched PAPILIO very recently (in September), we are already touched by many – often emotional – reactions.
We trust this multifaceted ‘butterfly’ will continue to spread its wings and its message in 2024. Today we like to share with you some parts of various PAPILIO reviews that were published in the past 3 months.

“Beautifully blended without any domineering aspects but each time I wear it (mostly at bedtime), I’m captivated by another aspect … The best kind of fragrances should make you feel something. And Puredistance Papilio certainly does that for me in ways that many others haven’t.

“In a few words, I perceive Papilio as a powdery-floral, soft leather fragrance. It has an irresistible textural creaminess, I would describe it as highly tactile if that makes sense.
The leather facet unfurls gradually, although it never becomes loud, and it doesn’t end up being a solo act. Papilio is cosy and ever so slightly melancholic.
I had to reimagine it in the shape of a butterfly since that is the meaning of its name in latin. I created a colourful watercolour painting, which I then cut up into a few pieces, and I folded those into origami butterflies.”

“Diaphanous and poetic, Papilio is one of the most immersive olfactive experiences I’ve ever had. “It feels modern, but at the same time with a retro edge. I absolutely love it, but I could also see my CHANEL NO. 5-wearing grandmother wear this. Despite feeling mostly like a leather fragrance to me, Papilio is versatile and easy to wear with a lot of brightness lasting into the drydown. One of my best discoveries of 2023.”
