I consider the fragrance to be exquisite, soft but with precise definition and character, unusual but
wearable, providing aesthetic interest and narcisissistic and sensual pleasure when worn.
Personally, I am pleased that it does not smell too much like an identifiable real world smell (i.e., it is
somewhat abstract) and that its feminity comes from softness and warmth rather than sweetness. I
am fascinated by its combination of coolness and warmth. It is long lasting but (this is the only
negative – a mild one) sometimes I would want it to travel through distance a little further (just a bit
more sillage, but not at the risk of being a “sillage monster”). With regard to sillage, I think the
bottom line for me is the ability to smell a scent I am wearing with reasonable ease, without having
to bring nose to skin. As I recall, in the drydown, Puredistance would only occasionally waft up to
my nose, and I would have liked those occasions to be a little more frequent.
